About
My name is Nicole...
...and I am so glad you are here! I love sharing about my pursuit of all things natural and beautiful and holy because I am passionate about proclaiming God's grace, talking about the healing power of good nutrition, and living a life that celebrates creativity, imagination, and learning!
I am an artist and I LOVE to create. I believe that inspiration lies all around us, and that the thing that separates seasoned artists from wanna-be-artists is practice, not talent. Having children really opened my eyes to the wonder that is in the world. I want to spend my life celebrating the big AND small moments, and creating beautiful and life-giving environments for my family, friends, and neighbors, with literature, art, music, and nature.
I also love to care for my family by cooking nutritious, nourishing meals. I became a "medical mama" when my oldest, Theodor, was born with an omphalocele and spent his first two months in the NICU...followed by many hospital visits, ER trips, and surgeries. I turned to holistic medicine when he developed eczema and severe food sensitivities, and it was through the amazing power of good, good food that we found healing, for my son AND our whole family. I am now passionate about learning all I can about our bodies, how they work, and how to support them.
We are a homeschooling/unschooling family that absolutely love to learn and love to be with each other. Is it always sunshine and roses? Absolutely not! But I know how deeply I have been blessed by God in the gifts of my husband, my children, and each day I am granted. I want my life to be a testimony to the peace and joy that comes with being His child.
And that's me, in a nutshell! If you were a fly on the wall, you'd probably see me cooking or painting, usually with a mug of coffee in hand. Theodor would be rattling off facts he's learned from his latest podcast obsession, Evangeline would be trying to show off whatever bug she'd managed to catch this time, and Christopher would love to give you a big hug and sing you a song.
This life is such an intricate, heartbreaking, wonderous journey. I hope you'll join me along the way.
